Long Over Due Update

Well I guess I have been a little behind in updating my blog huh? A lot has changed in my life .... let's see .... well first of all .... I am now living in Georgia! Yes folks I did say Georgia! Wow - what a big difference from California - to say the least! I feel like I am on another planet! But I do have to say I am pretty happy here. Why Georgia?? Well Cody got stationed here so that was the first reason and things in California were going pretty bad for me so I needed a new start someplace and with Cody here it seemed like the place to try. So I out most of my things in storage and packed up my car and drove from California to Georgia! That was one heck of a drive! Especially by myself! Whew! I actually cried when I passed the Georgia state line - I never thought I would actually get here but I did safe and sound!

Right now Cody is in Iraq. His unit deployed at the end of July. He wasn't supposed to come back home until some time in February but we got word that he will be back in December - hopefully by Christmas. That will be so great! I sure miss him a bunch.

Graduation Day from AIT

Well .. it's official ... Cody has graduated from AIT (Advanced Individual Training)! He is coming home from Oklahoma in the morning! I am so excited! Judging by the smile on his face I think it's safe to say Cody is pretty happy he's finished and coming home on leave! I am so proud of my soldier! Well done kiddo! Well done!
